How to Create Your First Trip

Every SimplyVoy trip starts the same simple way: tell us who's going, give it a name, and pick your dates. That's it — no long setup, no required extras. You can always add more later.

Step 1 — Tap "New trip"

From your Trips page, tap the + New trip button in the top right.

Step 2 — Tell us who's going

SimplyVoy asks one quick question first: "Who's going?"

Pick the option that matches your trip:

• Solo — just you
• Couple — you and a partner
• Family — one or more families traveling together
• Friends — a group of friends
• Group — a larger mixed group, like colleagues or a club

This choice just changes a few small things later, like whether we ask for family names when you split expenses. You're not locked in — you can change how the trip is set up anytime from Settings.

Step 3 — Add the basics

Next you'll see a short form:

• Trip name — anything you like, e.g. "Amalfi Coast Trip"
• Destination — where you're headed
• Start date and end date
• How many families/people? (skipped for Solo and Couple trips)
• Settlement currency — the currency you'll use to split costs

None of this needs to be perfect. You can edit every field later from the trip's Settings tab.

Step 4 — Create the trip

Tap Create trip. SimplyVoy takes you straight back to your Trips page, where your new trip now shows up as a card with its dates, family count, and a "Planning" badge.

Step 5 — Open your trip

Tap the new trip card to open it. You'll land on the Itinerary tab with one empty day card for each day of your trip, ready for you to start adding plans.
