What we collect
When you create an account we collect your email address and the display name you choose. When you use SimplyVoy we store the trip data you enter — itinerary items, expenses, and co-traveler details — so you can access it across devices.
How we use it
Your data is used solely to provide the SimplyVoy service. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to build profiles for third parties.
When you use AI features (Voy suggestions, email parsing, itinerary import), your trip content is sent to Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude to generate a response. This is processed under those providers' standard API terms.
Data storage
Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on AWS infrastructure. Auth sessions and cookies are handled by Supabase Auth. We do not store payment details — billing is handled by Stripe if and when you upgrade.
Cookies & local storage
We use a session cookie (via Supabase Auth) to keep you signed in — this is required for the app to work and can't be disabled. We use Vercel Analytics for page-view traffic, which is cookieless and doesn't identify you personally.
When our Booking.com partnership is active, Booking.com's affiliate network (Commission Junction) sets a tracking cookie so we can earn a referral commission on bookings you complete — this loads on pages where a Booking.com link appears, and again if you click through. We also use your browser's local storage (not a cookie) to remember small preferences like dismissed banners and your light/dark theme choice.
Your rights
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your Profile page. For data export requests or any privacy concerns, email us at support@simplyvoy.com.
