How to Import an Itinerary from a PDF

Booking confirmations often arrive as PDFs — airline e-tickets, tour vouchers, printed hotel confirmations. SimplyVoy can read those too, through the exact same import flow as a spreadsheet.

Step 1 — Open Import Itinerary

From a trip's Itinerary tab, tap Import Itinerary.

Step 2 — Drop in your PDF

Drag your .pdf file onto the drop zone, or click to browse for it. SimplyVoy pulls the text out of the PDF and reads it the same intelligent way it reads a spreadsheet.

Step 3 — Even scanned PDFs work

If a PDF has no selectable text — a scanned document or a photo saved as a PDF — SimplyVoy automatically switches to reading it visually instead, so a scan of a printed confirmation still works.

Step 4 — Review and import

Just like the spreadsheet flow, you'll see a preview of everything found, with a checkbox per item. Uncheck anything you don't want, then tap Import [N] items to add the rest to your itinerary.

A couple of things to know

  • One PDF can produce multiple items — a flight confirmation with an outbound and return leg, for example, becomes two separate items.
  • Parsing usually takes 5–15 seconds. Scanned PDFs can take a little longer since they go through an extra visual-reading step.
  • Nothing is added until you confirm on the preview screen, so it's always safe to try a file and back out.
